Corporate Social Responsibility

Our diabetes awareness and management programme “Suwa Diviya” continued to raise awareness during the reporting period through workshops conducted at multiple corporate offices and factories, webinars, social engagement groups and on social media. Suwa Diviya also marked its presence at the Annual CA Sri Lanka Conference, providing participants that included top decision-makers in the corporate sector an opportunity to learn. A public awareness campaign was organised to coincide with World Diabetes Day. The project has increased its digital/electronic media presence while also expanding its reach through regional outreach initiatives.

Three new RO plants were opened in the Grama Niladhari divisions of Pallavarayankaddu, Pallikkuda and Gowtharimunai in Poonakary, also known as Pooneryn, in the Kilinochchi district, providing safe drinking water to over 1,200 people.

Essential medicines were donated on a quarterly basis to the free medical clinic managed by the Ramakrishna Mission in Batticaloa.

Lina Manufacturing (Pvt) Ltd. donated a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) device to the Nagoda teaching hospital’s Chest & Respiratory Ward.

The Sunshine Foundation for Good donated stationery vouchers to assist the educational journey of 525 students from five low-resource schools within the Colombo and Gampaha districts which are in close proximity to the operational centres of our business lines.
